Why musicians will love it

More than a click

ProNome goes beyond basic timing by giving you deeper rhythmic structure and more useful practice feedback. Layer multiple rhythms, experiment with subdivisions, and develop more advanced timing exercises.

Built for actual practice

Designed for musicians who want to improve timing, groove, subdivisions, coordination, and consistency. Record your sessions and save your favorite rhythmic configurations so your practice can remain focused and repeatable.

Visual + audible timing

Hear the pulse and see it at the same time with layered visual feedback that makes rhythm easier to internalize. Add your own sound files to create an audible timing experience suited to your preferences.

Core controls

ProNome gives you direct access to:

BPM control: adjust tempo with minus/plus buttons, direct number entry, or the slider.
Transport controls: start and stop immediately when you are ready to lock in.
Live status feedback: know exactly what is happening in the rhythm at a glance.
Interactive circular step sequencer lets you turn individual beats on or off directly from the enlarged circular display to create custom patterns, rests, and syncopation.

These foundational controls work alongside the layered rhythm system, giving you the flexibility to build everything from simple timing exercises to complex polyrhythmic practice sessions.

Once you have created a configuration you want to keep, ProNome Plus lets you save it as a custom preset rather than rebuilding the same arrangement the next time you practice.

Layered rhythm system

One of ProNome’s standout strengths is its layered structure. Instead of giving you just one pulse, it lets you work with multiple rhythmic layers at once.

Independent rhythm layers for richer practice and more advanced timing work.
Subdivision awareness so you can feel how smaller divisions sit inside the measure.
Cycle clarity through accents and repeated structure.
Multiple voices that help separate rhythmic functions by ear.

Build layered patterns and polyrhythms to explore how different rhythmic cycles interact. These configurations are useful for developing coordination, independence, and a stronger understanding of complex timing.

ProNome Plus adds the convenience of custom presets, allowing you to save your preferred polyrhythm arrangements and load them again when you want to revisit a particular exercise.

Visual feedback

ProNome is not just about sound. It also gives you strong visual timing feedback so you can follow the rhythm physically as it moves.

Step lights for immediate beat visibility.
Layer circle visualization for following cyclical motion.
Live indicators so the rhythm feels easier to read and track.
Clear structure that helps internalize pulse and phrasing.

Visual and audible feedback work together to help you understand how your rhythmic layers fit together. Whether you're practicing basic subdivisions or working through a challenging polyrhythm, the visual indicators provide another reference for following the timing.

Built-in practice recorder

ProNome Plus includes a built-in recorder that adds another dimension to your practice environment. Instead of relying only on what you hear while practicing, you can capture sessions and revisit your recorded work.

Capture your sessions

Use the integrated recorder to capture audio during your rhythm practice without switching to a separate recording application.

Review your performance

Recording gives you a way to listen back to your practice and pay closer attention to timing, consistency, and rhythmic execution.

Track your development

Record different practice sessions as you work on challenging rhythmic material, helping you evaluate your progress over time.

The recorder is especially useful when working with layered rhythms or polyrhythms, where hearing a complete performance afterward can reveal details that are difficult to notice while concentrating on playing.

Integrated recording within the ProNome Plus practice environment.
Useful for timing review and evaluating rhythmic consistency.
Supports focused practice by giving you a way to capture your work.

Custom polyrhythm presets

Complex rhythmic arrangements can take time to build. ProNome Plus lets you save your custom configurations so you don't have to recreate the same polyrhythm setup every time you want to practice it.

Create

Build your preferred rhythmic arrangement using tempo controls, measure settings, and layered subdivisions.

Save

Store your custom configuration as a preset so the arrangement is available for future practice sessions.

Reload

Load your saved preset and return to the rhythmic setup you previously created without rebuilding it manually.

Custom presets are particularly valuable for musicians practicing multiple exercises, studying different polyrhythmic relationships, or working with recurring rhythmic patterns.

Save favorite configurations for repeated use.
Preserve custom polyrhythms and their rhythmic arrangements.
Load saved setups when returning to a particular exercise.
Reduce setup time so more of your session can be spent practicing instead of configuring.

Whether you're exploring an unfamiliar rhythm or refining an established exercise, the preset system helps make your practice more organized and consistent.

Custom sound files

Every musician has different preferences when it comes to metronome sounds. ProNome Plus gives you more flexibility by allowing you to import your own sound files instead of relying exclusively on the included sounds.

Import your sounds

Bring your own audio files into ProNome Plus to personalize your rhythm practice environment.

Find your preferred sound

Choose sounds that are comfortable to hear, easy to distinguish, or better suited to your particular practice style.

Make practice your own

Customize the audible character of your timing exercises while retaining ProNome's rhythmic and visual feedback tools.

Custom sounds can make a meaningful difference when practicing layered rhythms. Distinctive sounds can help you recognize individual rhythmic parts and follow complex patterns more comfortably.

Improve audible distinction by choosing sounds that work well for your practice.
